The Rural College was established in 1992 as a resource for both individuals and groups involved in rural development work. The College provides accredited educational programmes to Certificate, Diploma and MSc levels.
Accredited programmes on offer include the part time MSc in Rural Development and MSc in Effective Management for Sustainable Development organised in conjunction with Queen’s University Belfast and the Diploma in Community Development Practice organised in association with NUI, Galway.
We also provide tailored training and consultancy services to meet the needs of groups and organisations at various stages of the development process. We have organised training for over 100 groups north and south of the border, covering areas such as starting the group and getting people involved, through fundraising and managing the finances, to planning and managing substantial development projects.
